Mandarin Chinese Translation Specialist
The Mandarin Chinese Translation Specialist: 1.) Must have some written translation experience 2.) Should have (but not be limited to) a Taiwan college education background 3.) Must have a good command of both English and Chinese languages. The Mandarin Chinese Translation Specialist will translate, edit and proofread marketing and advertising materials as well as update and audit the company’s corporate and product Web sites. Excellent translating and proofing skills are a must. The successful candidate must have solid experience using PCs, be proficient in MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint, be well organized, have good written communication skills, possess the ability to diagnose and resolve challenges, be detail-oriented with the ability to handle and prioritize multiple tasks efficiently and timely, and must possess the ability to work well as part of a team. Written translation of and interpretation of legal, scientific and financial issues in a corporate setting a definite plus, as is any experience in the advertising and/or marketing fields. The successful candidate will have experience translating English documents to traditional Chinese for layout and other purposes, as well as being able to translate Chinese to English. Knowledge of Taiwan and/or Hong Kong dialects preferred. College degree required. U.S. Citizen/Permanent Resident/U.S. Green Card status preferred. A timed translation test will be a part of the official interview process.
